Billing & Subscriptions
How billing works, payment methods, upgrading, downgrading, and cancellation.
Billing Cycle
Draftly subscriptions are billed monthly. Your billing date is the same day each month as when you first subscribed.
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. You'll receive a receipt email after each successful charge.
Credits and usage limits reset at the start of each new billing period — not on the 1st of the month.
Accepted Payment Methods
PayPal is not currently supported. Crypto is not supported.
All transactions are processed securely via Dodo Payments. Draftly never stores your full card number.
Upgrading & Downgrading
Upgrading — Takes effect immediately. You're charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing cycle. Any credits remaining from your old plan carry over to your new plan as a rollover bonus on top of your new credit limit.
Downgrading — Takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Until then, you retain your current plan's limits. Credits used on the higher plan are not refunded.
To change plans: go to Settings → Billing → Change Plan.
Cancellation
Cancel any time from Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access until that date.
After cancellation: - Your account reverts to the Free plan - Projects and published sites remain accessible (1 project limit applies) - Existing published sites stay live - Extra projects are not deleted, but you can't generate new ones until within Free limits
To reactivate, simply subscribe again — your projects and history are preserved.
Failed Payments & Grace Period
If a payment fails (expired card, insufficient funds), Draftly enters a 7-day grace period.
During the grace period: - Your account retains full paid-plan access - Email reminders are sent to update your payment method - After 7 days without a successful payment, the account reverts to Free plan
To update your card: Settings → Billing → Update Payment Method.
