How to Duplicate and Reuse Sections Across Your Draftly Site

One of the biggest time costs in website building is recreating the same elements over and over. A footer. A CTA block. A testimonials row. Draftly's section duplication and reuse system eliminates that repetition entirely.

Duplicating a Section on the Same Page

Hover over any section in the builder to reveal the section action bar. Click the Duplicate icon (two overlapping squares). Draftly creates an identical copy of the section directly below the original, including all content, styling, and animations.

This is useful when you want to create multiple pricing cards, team member cards, or feature rows that share the same visual structure but have different content.

Moving Sections Between Pages

Draftly's multi-page builder lets you copy sections across pages:

• Hover over the section and click the ⋮ More menu
• Select Copy to page
• Choose the destination page from the dropdown

Saving a Section to Your Library

If you have created a section you want to reuse across multiple projects:

• Hover over the section and click ⋮ More → Save to Library
• Give the saved section a name (e.g. "CTA — dark background" or "Testimonial — 3-column")
• Access it from the Sections panel → Saved tab on any future project

Global Sections (Header and Footer)

Header and footer sections are global by default. Any change to the header or footer is applied to all pages simultaneously. You do not need to update each page individually.

If you need a page-specific header (for example, a landing page with no navigation), you can override the global header for that page by toggling Override global header in the page settings.

Best Practices for Efficient Multi-Page Sites

• Build your section library before starting a multi-page site. Create your CTA, testimonials, and contact sections once, save them, then assemble pages by placing saved sections.
• Use the grid view in the builder to see all pages side-by-side and identify inconsistencies.
• Keep section names descriptive. "Hero — product launch — dark" is more useful than "Hero 3" when you are searching your library three months later.
