Using the Draftly Leads Dashboard to Manage and Convert Inquiries
The Leads Dashboard is where your site's conversion activity becomes visible. Every contact form, WhatsApp click, and booking from your Draftly site is captured and displayed here.
Accessing the Leads Dashboard
From your Draftly dashboard: Your Sites → [Site Name] → Leads
Or from within the builder: click the notification dot on the Leads tab when it appears (this indicates new unread leads).
What Gets Captured
Draftly captures leads from three sources:
Contact forms: When a visitor submits any contact form on your site, their name, email, phone (if entered), message, and the page they were on are all captured.
WhatsApp clicks: When a visitor taps your WhatsApp button, a lead is created with source "whatsapp_click" and the page they were on. No message content is captured — just the interaction.
Bookings: If you've connected Calendly or Cal.com, completed booking submissions are captured as leads with source "booking".
Reading Lead Data
Each lead in the dashboard shows:
- Name and contact info
- Message (for form leads)
- Source (contact_form, whatsapp_click, booking)
- Page (which page they were on)
- Time of submission
- Read/unread status
New unread leads are highlighted. Click any lead to expand the full detail and mark it as read.
Following Up Efficiently
The fastest follow-up is always via WhatsApp for Indian leads. Copy the phone number from the lead and start a conversation.
A template that works well for initial follow-up:
"Hi [Name], thanks for reaching out about [topic from message]. I'm [Your Name] from [Business]. Happy to help — when would be a good time for a quick call?"
Personalize it based on what they asked about. Personal follow-up within 2 hours dramatically increases conversion rates.
Exporting Leads
Click Export CSV at the top of the Leads Dashboard to download all your leads as a spreadsheet. This is useful for:
- Importing into a CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho)
- Building email campaigns in Mailchimp or similar
- Sharing with your sales team
- Maintaining your own records
Setting Up Automated Follow-Up
For high-volume lead capture, manual follow-up doesn't scale. Two automation approaches:
Webhook to Zapier: Add your Zapier webhook URL in Settings. Create a Zap that triggers on new lead data and sends a WhatsApp message (via Twilio), an email (via Gmail), or a Slack notification to your team.
CRM sync: If you're on Agency plan, connect HubSpot or Pipedrive directly. New leads are automatically created as contacts in your CRM with all the captured data.
Lead Analytics
The Leads Dashboard shows a trend chart of lead volume over time. Use this to:
- Understand which days/times have the most activity
- See the impact of marketing campaigns on lead volume
- Track month-over-month growth in inquiries
