Managing Multiple Sites in Draftly: Tips for Agencies and Power Users
At 10+ sites, the dashboard becomes your command centre. Here's how to use it efficiently.
Naming Convention
Use a consistent project naming format from day one:
`[ClientName] — [Project] — [Status]`
Examples:
- `AurumWatches — Main Site — Live`
- `GreenLeaf Spa — Landing Page — Draft`
- `IronFit Gym — Revamp — In Review`
Sortable and scannable — essential when you have 30+ projects.
Folder Organisation
Group projects by client or status. Use the folder feature to separate:
- Active client sites
- Internal/template sites
- Archived projects
Template Projects
Create one 'Master Template' project per industry vertical you serve. When onboarding a new client in that vertical, duplicate the template as the starting point.
Time saving: starting from a configured template vs. from scratch = 2-3 hours saved per client.
Bulk Operations
Use bulk publish and bulk domain management when handling major updates across multiple sites.
Client Access Management
On Agency plan, grant clients limited editor access to their own projects without exposing other client sites.
Monthly Audit
Once a month:
- Archive any completed one-off projects
- Check SSL certificate status on all live sites
- Review lead notification emails — make sure client contacts are current
