Draftly SEO Panel Guide: Optimise Every Page for Search
Building a 3D website with Draftly is the first step. Making sure Google finds it, understands it, and ranks it is the second — and equally important — step. Draftly's built-in SEO panel gives you complete control over every search-related setting without needing to touch any code.
Accessing the SEO Panel
Open the Draftly builder and click the Settings icon (gear icon) in the left sidebar. Select SEO from the settings menu. The SEO panel has four tabs: Basic, Social, Technical, and Schema.
Basic SEO Settings
Page Title
The page title appears as the blue headline in Google search results. Enter your primary keyword early in the title. Keep it under 60 characters. Draftly shows a character counter and a preview of how the title will appear in search results.
Meta Description
The meta description appears as the summary text under the title in search results. Write a clear, compelling description that includes your primary keyword and ends with a soft call to action. Keep it under 160 characters.
Canonical URL
If you have duplicate content issues (for example, a page accessible at both `/services` and `/services/`), set the canonical URL to tell Google which version is the authoritative one.
Social Sharing Settings
The Social tab controls how your pages appear when shared on WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook:
- Open Graph title — defaults to your page title; customise if you want a different title for social sharing
- Open Graph description — defaults to meta description; can be more conversational for social
- Social sharing image — upload a 1200×630px image. Pages without a social image display a blank card when shared.
Technical SEO Settings
Index / No-Index
Control whether Google should index each page. Set pages like thank-you pages, confirmation pages, or internal tools to No-Index to avoid diluting your site's crawl budget.
Sitemap inclusion
Draftly automatically generates a sitemap at `yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml` and includes all published pages. Toggle individual pages out of the sitemap if needed.
Robots.txt
The advanced technical settings include a custom robots.txt editor. For most sites, the default Draftly robots.txt (allow all crawlers) is correct.
Custom head code
Add any custom meta tags, verification codes (Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools), or third-party scripts that need to be in the `
Schema Markup
The Schema tab lets you add structured data without writing JSON-LD manually:
- LocalBusiness — name, address, phone, business hours, geo coordinates
- Product — name, description, price, availability, reviews
- Article — headline, author, publish date (auto-populated for blog posts)
- FAQ — add question-answer pairs that can appear as rich results in search
Per-Page SEO vs. Site-Level SEO
Draftly lets you set both site-level defaults (applied to all pages) and page-level overrides. If a page does not have custom SEO settings, it inherits the site defaults. Always set page-specific titles and descriptions for your most important pages — homepage, services, pricing, and about.
After Publishing
Once your site is live, submit your sitemap to Google Search Console and request indexing for your key pages. For the full post-publish SEO checklist, read How to Export and Publish Your 3D Website.
