How to Accept Online Payments Through Your Draftly Website
Wanting to collect payment through your website is one of the most common requests from Draftly users. Here's exactly how to do it.
Option 1 — Razorpay Payment Link (Simplest)
For service businesses, consultants, and freelancers:
- Create a Razorpay account (free)
- Generate a payment link for your service or product
- Add a 'Pay Now' button in Draftly linking to the Razorpay URL
No integration needed. Works immediately. Razorpay handles UPI, cards, net banking, and wallets.
Option 2 — Razorpay Payment Button Embed
For a more integrated experience:
- In Razorpay dashboard: Payment Pages → Create Payment Page
- Set amount and description
- Copy the embed code
- Add via Custom HTML block in Draftly
Option 3 — Draftly E-Commerce
For product sales:
- Enable e-commerce in Site Settings
- Add products with prices
- Draftly handles cart and checkout with integrated payment gateway
Indian Payment Methods
Ensure your payment setup accepts:
- UPI (Razorpay and most Indian gateways support this)
- Debit and credit cards
- Net banking
- EMI (for higher-value products)
GST on Digital Transactions
Payments received through your website are taxable income. Ensure your invoicing and GST compliance is in order — especially if turnover exceeds the registration threshold.
Transaction Fees
Razorpay charges 2% per transaction (UPI is lower). Build this into your pricing or offer a small discount for bank transfer to reduce costs.
