GA4 shows you where your visitors come from, what they do on your site, and which pages convert. Here's how to connect it to your Draftly site in 5 minutes.

Setting Up Google Analytics 4 on Your Draftly Site

Setting Up Google Analytics 4 on Your Draftly Site

Understanding your site traffic is the difference between guessing and growing. Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is free, powerful, and takes about 5 minutes to connect.

Step 1: Create a GA4 Property

If you don't have one yet:

  • Go to analytics.google.com
  • Click Admin (gear icon, bottom left)
  • + Create → Property
  • Enter your property name and your website URL
  • Select your industry and business size
  • Click Create

Step 2: Get Your Measurement ID

After creating the property, GA4 will prompt you to set up a data stream.

  • Select Web as your platform
  • Enter your Draftly site URL (e.g., `https://aurum-watches.draftly.space`)
  • Give it a name and click Create stream
After creating the stream, you'll see your Measurement ID — it starts with `G-` followed by letters and numbers:

```
G-XXXXXXXXXX
```

Copy this. You'll need it in the next step.

Step 3: Add to Draftly Settings

  • Go to your site in the Draftly dashboard
  • Settings → Analytics
  • Enable Google Analytics 4
  • Paste your Measurement ID
  • Save + Republish
Draftly injects the GA4 script on every page of your published site automatically.

Step 4: Verify It's Working

Open your live site in a browser. In GA4, go to Reports → Realtime. You should see your visit appear within a minute.

If you don't see it, check:

  • That you republished after saving the settings

  • That your browser isn't blocking analytics (try incognito)

  • That the Measurement ID starts with `G-` (not `UA-` which is Universal Analytics)

What Draftly Auto-Tracks

Beyond pageviews, Draftly automatically fires these GA4 events:

  • `generate_lead` — contact form submitted
  • `whatsapp_click` — WhatsApp button tapped
  • `page_view` — every page navigation

Setting Up Conversions

To track leads as conversions in GA4:

  • Configure → Events
  • Find `generate_lead` in the list
  • Toggle Mark as conversion
Now your acquisition reports will show which traffic sources send converting visitors.
