Adding Social Media Links and Icons to Your Draftly Site

Adding Social Media Links and Icons to Your Draftly Site

Social links tell visitors you're active and real. But placement and implementation matter.

Where to Place Social Links

Footer — standard placement. Visible on every page without competing with primary CTAs.

About page — contextual and appropriate.

Blog posts — author social links below content.

Avoid: Hero section, above the fold, near primary CTAs. Social links compete with your conversion goal.

Setting Up in Draftly

  • Go to Site Settings → Social Links
  • Add URLs for each active platform
  • Draftly renders them as icon links in the footer automatically

Which Platforms to Include

Only add platforms where you're actually active. A dead LinkedIn or dormant Instagram hurts credibility more than no link at all.

For most Indian businesses: WhatsApp, Instagram, LinkedIn (pick 2-3).

Custom Social Section

For creators and personal brands, add a social section mid-page with follower counts and preview of recent posts (using embeds from Elfsight or similar).

Open Graph

Set your OG image in Site Settings so when your site is shared on social media, a professional image appears instead of the default.
