Draftly SEO Panel Deep Dive: Every Setting Explained

Filling in SEO settings is the single highest-leverage 20 minutes you can spend on your site.

Page Title

Appears as the blue link in Google results. Formula:
`[Primary Keyword] — [Secondary Context] | [Brand Name]`

Length: 50-60 characters. Google cuts off titles beyond 60.

Meta Description

The preview text in Google results. Does NOT directly affect ranking, but affects click-through rate.

Formula: Include the keyword, a clear benefit, and a call-to-action. 140-155 characters.

OG Image (Open Graph)

The image that appears when your link is shared on WhatsApp, Twitter/X, or LinkedIn.

Use a 1200×630px image. Make it visually compelling — this drives social clicks.

Canonical URL

Tells Google which version of this URL is the 'real' one. Usually auto-generated correctly. Only change if you have duplicate content issues.

Robots Setting

Index / Follow (default): Google can crawl and rank this page.

No Index: Hide this page from Google results. Use for thank-you pages, admin pages, draft pages.

Structured Data (Schema)

Draftly automatically adds:

  • Organization schema (from your site settings)

  • WebPage schema

  • FAQ schema (on pages with FAQ sections)

  • LocalBusiness schema (if address is set)

Per-Page vs. Site-Wide Settings

Site-wide settings (in Site Settings → SEO) set defaults. Per-page settings (in the SEO panel) override the defaults for that specific page.

Verification Tags

Add Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools verification meta tags in Site Settings → SEO → Verification.
